Four all-too-common home buying mistakes that you should avoid.
Buying a home can get complicated fast. Whether you’re buying for the first time, the second time, or the fiftieth time, you want to avoid these four common mistakes:
Mistake No.1: Not getting pre-approved. You want to get pre-approved, and in most cases, you can do it over the phone in less than 24 hours.
Mistake No. 2: Getting pre-approved by an out-of-state or online lender. You’ve never met this person and can’t go to their physical office or bank. I’ve only seen nightmares come out of using an out-of-state lender.
Mistake No. 3: Not having a full-time agent working for you. If you hire a part-time agent, they won’t be as available, and they aren’t working with sellers either.
Mistake No. 4: Not having an experienced agent negotiate for you. In this competitive market, you need an experienced agent who can ask the right questions.
